Grief Support Groups

Grief support groups are a way to connect with others who have experienced loss and may feel alone. These groups are a beautiful way to form a sense of connection, community, and to understand we are not alone in our grief.

Hayley is a registered Social Worker, leading group with a therapeutic purpose. Hayley is also a griever, having experienced loss and grief herself allows her to connect with other grievers in a way that gives a sense of understanding and support, allowing grievers to be seen in their grief without feeling misunderstood or forgotten. Grief is always complex, but we can come to learn that while our experience is unique, grief itself can allow us to form connections we may not have otherwise fostered.

Currently connecting with folks for Living with Grief Through the Holidays, a four week grief support group centered on how to live with grief during a time when we may feel especially alone in our loss. We will meet each week with a loose theme, guided by Hayley, with lots of space to talk and connect with one another, share things we love and miss about our loved ones, and be together in a shared space of safety and support.

This group will run virtually from 5-6pm on Thursday's from December 7th to the 28th. The cost is $30/session ($120 total) and is covered by most extended insurance plans. Please do reach out if this will be a financial burden, we can provide financial assistance if needed.

Youth DBT Skills Groups

Dialectical behavioral therapy is an evidence based approach that helps us build skills to understand and cope with intense emotions, be more present and mindful every day, and communicate with the people we love in more effective ways, while maintaining our boundaries. If your teen struggles with anxiety, depression, BPD, or intense emotions, this group can help them develop valuable skills to manage these feelings.

Groups will have a maximum of 10 youth and will always be run primarily by Registered Social Worker Hayley Maynard, with a qualified assistant available should a participant need individual support during group.

Fees are $1200 per person for the 12 week group, this is a flat rate that is not subject to HST. Fees are generally reimbursed by most extended insurance plans under Social Work or Psychotherapy Services. There is no charge for a consultation where we can discuss if group feels like the right fit for your needs.

In addition to this, 3 parent/caregiver only groups will be offered on an opt-in basis if you have questions, would like to review any skills your teen has learned, or need additional assistance. Parents/caregivers can opt in to as many of these supplemental groups as they prefer, the cost for each 90 minute group is $125 per family. These groups are generally offered at the 3, 6, and 9 week mark of the primary group. Parents/caregivers can also book individual parenting support appointments at my individual rate at any time throughout, proceeding, or post group.

Please contact for details about when the next group may be run or to express interest. Generally groups begin when there are enough folks interested to begin.
